Who is a good candidate for laser hair removal

Laser hair reduction is most effective for individuals with dark hair and a light skin. Alexandrite and diode lasers are the most suitable for this skin and hair type.
Individuals with dark skin or light hair are more difficult to treat. An experienced provider, utilizing ND:Yag laser however, can achieve effective results.
Red and white hair can be treated effectively by electrolysis only (if hair is not dense). Neither laser nor IPL will treat red or white hair effectively.
All combinations of skin and hair types can be treated by electrolysis. However, electrolysis is not effective for people with dense hair. In addition, treatments take longer and may be less comfortable when compared with a laser treatment.
